Worth knowing
- The cost of PPL and LAPL training depends on the hours you actually fly (national averages: 45 hours for the LAPL, 60 for the PPL) — your instructor refines the figure with you as you go.
- A federation licence with insurance is required for any flying, including introductory flights: FFA for the aeroplane section, FFPLUM for the microlight section.
- Optional subscription to Info-Pilote magazine: €49 on top of aeroplane membership.
